Moving again

I decided that I wanted a new home and studio with lots of light and I found one! I will be moving in a few weeks and this time I have hired professional movers instead of asking friends to help and making countless trips back and forth. Of course I am staying in San Miguel, just moving to another neighborhood.

I am going to have to get serious about packing up my studio, but in the mean time I made some more paintings in the series, Joyous Spirit.

Time for my own work

It has been a busy and delightful couple of months with the encaustic artists' group show here, my daughter Cynthia's show opening in Pozos and three workshops in my studio, but now I have time to get back to the series I started before I packed away my encaustic supplies.

I am calling the new series, "Joyous Spirit". At this time our beautiful planet is in turmoil and needs healing. We are all a spark of the Divine and at our core have a joyous spirit. These paintings are a reminder to me to stay in that space.
