When I pulled the newest paintings out of the stacks to see what I had finished for the November gallery show, I realized that almost every one had red as the dominant color. don't get me wrong, I like red, but wow, when is enough enough?With that said take a look at the newest addition. I am sure living in Mexico has had a great influence on my palette.
I am sure that living in Mexico influences the colours in your paintings. I remember the vibrant photos I took during my Mexico trip. Your red goes quite into the orange, not the crimson... lovely shades!
ReplyDeleteYou are right abut the color. It is hard to photograph the subtleties of the various reds.I hope my new camera, that I should get this week, will do a better job with the encaustic images.
