What is Your Favorite Color?

What is your favorite color?

I am inspired to create a new series about the power of color. So far I have completed the red painting, "Tumbling Joy"" and I'm almost finished with a blue one.
Encaustic 32" x 40" Tumbling Joy

I have been studying color for many years; I used this information in my color seminars when I worked for 3 Ethan Allen stores. It was the most popular seminar I presented  When I introduced his color presentation, I asked participants to write their name tags in their favorite color, but had to stop that practice, when they realized how much their color choices told others about their personalities.

I wrote a book about the power of color. The book  shows you how your color choices influence your health and emotions; how color touches you even if you don’t notice it or understand its force. The specific vibrations of each color triggers your personal energy field. It affects your moods, health and general well being. 60% of a person’s reaction to any situation is said to be based on color.
Once you know a person's color preferences, you will be able to understand her better. This is available on Kindle.

Here is the process of the blue painting:

Breathe Yellow if You Need Cheering

From my book, The Power of Color.

Yellow is a stimulating and cheerful color. It can lift our spirits, remove depression and increase optimism and create harmony. Yellow represents spontaneity, activity, imagination and exhilaration. It carries he warmth of the sun, bright and happy.

The person who chooses yellow as a favorite color is usually an idealist, and someone who likes to intellectualize. That is why is is not a good color for a restaurant that want hearty eaters, drinkers and a quick second seating. Yellow influences us to sit, talk, analyze and linger over a cup of coffee. The yellow person can be a bit of a dreamer, altruistic and futuristic. If you do not agree with this person, they may withdraw temporarily.

This may be the last posting about color meanings, unless you have specific interest in colors that I have not covered.

May you day be filled with the cheerfulness of yellow.

How Can The Color Red Heal?

Red is a forceful and stimulating color. It is the great energizer. Red helps us integrate into our physical body; it speeds up the pulse rate, raises the blood pressure and increases the respiration. It is a color of activity and intensity...

The person who chooses red as a favorite color is strong and dominate; someone who will try to make things happen....
Red in Healing

Red is effectual in cases of blood poisoning. It influences the liver, relieves asthma, inflamed appendix, hives and hastens post operative healing. In controlled tests in a Scandinavian hospital postoperative patients that were covered with red blankets were found to heal faster than those on whom the red blankets were not used. Red releases adrenaline and is helpful in anemia. Red light shines on the body manufactures new red blood cells. Use in any area that needs stimulation; around the navel and groin for sluggish intestines and for increasing sexual desire...
