The Countdown; #47 of Fifty Faces

The end of the Fifty Faces project is in sight and I have started the layout for the small picture book. 45 of the faces have been hung and I am beginning to plan the show.
Here is the face for today:

I've lost count

As of today, I have the last 5 faces started. Now I just check the remaining boards to see the count of the Fifty Faces. I hope to get the gallery set up this week since I am running out of room on the studio shelves.

Memoir available for 6 days, Portrait #37

http://www.amazon.com/Artists-Memoir-Fireworks-Dawn-ebook/dp/B008G371SC/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1426451248&sr=1-3&keywords=ezshwan+winding

The book is available for download for 99 cents for 6 days, if you are interested.

I am losing count of the number of faces I have finished. I keep recounting and I realize that I have finished about 40 paintings, so the end is in sight. I still can use a couple of really good, clear, large photos, with good contrast, no dark glasses or huge grins. I am tired of painting teeth.

This one is #37

8 faces in progress and one almost finished

I will give the latest finished face a day to sit on the shelf and see what I think about it tomorrow.

In the meantime, here are 8 more that are in various phases of progess.

Free Portraits, March 31

Although I am posting one portrait everyday, I can not complete a portrait in just one day. I try to start a few new ones each day and let them dry overnight before I continue. Usually after the 3rd day of work, I am finished; hopefully before I over work them.

The Portrait Project, Day Three

I will be posting the process of the paintings everyday. I am having a great time; struggling to keep the faces impressionist with lots of loose, colorful painting. I still am overworking a bit, but I have a long way to go before this project is completed.
