- I finally was able to get back to the studio and decided to completely re-work a painting that I made over 2 years ago. I liked the painting, but I recently got a beautiful new red from R & F encaustics and was inspired to use it on this painting. Thinned with clear medium, it makes a lovely glaze. Since the panting was old and very hard, it was easy to use oil glazes, and scrape back before the final fusing.
